At the November 16th Market

Stop by and pick up some late-season produce for your Thanksgiving table. There will also be plenty of handmade items including bags, jewelry, aprons, knitted items, greeting cards, wood crafts, wreaths, and more!

At Damon Hall there will be a collection box of toiletries and cleaning supplies for victims of Hurricane Sandy. Gift cards to Target, Walmart, Staples and Best Buy can be sent to Jill Allegretti at 597 Quechee Rd. Hartland who will be taking
the collection box down.

At the October 12th Indoor Market

The first indoor market of the season is this Friday! We're excited to be at Damon Hall from 4-7 PM. Stop by for some late-season produce, delicious treats, or homemade jellies and jams.

Several craft vendors will be in attendance with stained glass work, upcycled mittens, sock animals, terrariums, handmade bags, wool items, wood products, and more. It's not too early to think about holiday gifts. Shop local!

The Windsor High School French class will be making bicycle-powered smoothies and Amy Richardson of the Farm to School program will also have a table.

At the September 28th Market

This Friday will be our last outdoor market. Please stop by and pick up produce, prepared foods or crafts from our wonderful vendors.

Produce:  basil, beets, chard, garlic, greens, peppers, and maybe
cukes and lettuce.

Prepared foods:  whoopies, quick bread, fudge, focaccia bread, 10-grain bread, hummus, quiche, jam, granola.

Crafts:
 note paper, bags and purses, bird houses and feeders,
assorted wood products, walking sticks, wooden spoons.

Sarah-Dawn is the musician this week!

At the September 21st Market

At the September 21st market, you'll find great produce, prepared foods and crafts!

Produce: beans, beets, carrots, chard, garlic, greens, melons,onions, peppers, potatoes, squash, tomatillos, tomatoes and maybe basil, cucumbers, and lettuce.

Prepared foods: dog biscuits! :), amazing 10-grain super-seedy and toasty sesame and frou-frou French artisan loaves, plus Sekanjabin.

Crafts: Hand crafted glass beads and jewelry (come watch a jewelry making demonstration), handmade bags, baby sets, sweaters, towels, fingerless mittens, scarves, bird houses and feeders, assorted wood products, walking sticks, wooden spoons.



The UU Church will be having a food sale in the community booth to benefit their steeple repair fund. Also, Michael Denmeade will be in the booth with a presentation around the International Day of Peace, which is on Friday. Come on down!

At the September 7th market:

For produce, we'll have: basil, beans, beets, blueberries, carrots, cucumbers, culinary herbs, garlic, greens, peppers, potatoes, squash, tomatillos, tomatoes, and maybe broccoli and melons.

In addition, there will be USDA inspected lamb cuts.

For crafts, we will have handcrafted glass beads (come watch a bead making demonstration!), handmade bags, purses, aprons, bird feeders, bird houses, whirligigs
and other assorted wood products, knit baby clothes, plastic bag holders.

tomatillos, tomatoes, and zucchini.

sandwiches, maple cream puffs, maple oatmeal bread, maple roll with
maple marscapone cheese filling, turnovers, sorbet, sekanjabin
(persian version of switchel), 10-grain bread, organic bread, 5 kinds

June 1st Market

Our first market of the season is this Friday from 4-7 PM. New vendors, returning favorites and lots of wonderful, local produce!

Live music from 4-6 PM this week by Erik Boedetker and Johnny O. This guitar/banjo duo typically plays Browns Tavern every Sunday from 6 - 9PM and with Jason Cann at Harpoon during his second set.

Don't forget to stop by the manager's booth to buy one of our lovely market tote bags. It's a wonderful way to carry your local produce home.

The Hartland Farmers' Market Spring 2012 Survey

Before the market swings into full gear, we'd love to hear from you. Please consider filling out the Hartland Farmers' Market Spring 2012 Survey. These questions will help us make the market even better! Anyone who completes a survey will have his/her name entered into a raffle for a basket of market goodies. The raffle drawing will take place at Hartland Farm Fest in May.

A Taste of Hartland

Please join Hartland Community Connections this Saturday, April 7th at Damon Hall for A Taste of Hartland where you can get a sneak preview of the Hartland Farmers' Market. The FREE breakfast begins at 9:00 AM and past menus have included scrambled eggs, pancakes, local maple syrup, fresh fruit, granola, coffee and juice. This time there will be a few exciting additions from Farmers' Market vendors as well!

As you finish up breakfast, you'll get a chance to hear a select group of vendors talk about their products in a "show and tell" format. Carol Stedman of Clay Hill Corners will give a brief PowerPoint presentation about year-round growing, too. There will be plenty of time for questions and discussion so we hope you'll join us. The breakfast/discussion ends at 11:00 AM.
